Inside the First TPF × MLB Players Trust Youth Innovation Summit

When we started The Pathways Foundation, the goal was clear: leave the world a better place than we found it.

This past week, TPF teamed up with the MLB Players Trust to host 70 students across 15 inner-city Arizona high schools at the MLBPA office for our first Student-Athlete Innovation Summit, centered around the iconic Playmakers Classic.

Students were paired into curated groups to foster new friendships and led by mentors from The Luminosity Lab as they gained exposure to the kind of learning school often doesn't teach. Here's a look into the day and the magic our partners brought:

• Mindfulness in Sport with Fard Morales and Inner Explorer
• AI Hitters Workshop and Group Prototyping led by Mike Yates and Jasmine Maze at the Reinvention Lab at Teach For America
• Clubhouse Conversations with baseball legends Chris Singleton, Chris Capuano, and DJ Carrasco
• AI in Entrepreneurship with Nikki Estes and Jonathon Chambless
• AI-Powered Sports Tech with Scott Deans and BeONE Sports
• The Sport of Speaking and mastering the pitch with Charles Ruiz
• Innovation and Robotics with Robb Olivieri and The Luminosity Lab at Arizona State University

It all culminated in final prototype presentations. The professionalism and creativity on that stage proved that the next generation isn't just waiting for the future — they're building it.
