We recently teamed up with Ascending Athletes and the NFL to provide crucial support to over 220 former NFL players and their spouses as they navigate the transition to life after professional football. We understand that this transition can be a significant one, and we're committed to helping these individuals thrive in their next chapter.
Our initiative focused on empowering them with the tools and resources for career success. This included personalized assistance with resume building and interview preparation, where we conducted over 40 mock interviews to help them hone their skills. We also guided them on leveraging AI for career exploration and effective networking strategies. To foster a strong community and provide ongoing support, we've created a platform for continued engagement, with over 160 attendees opting in for monthly newsletters, 1:1 recruiting support, and virtual events.
Beyond career development, we also recognized the entrepreneurial spirit within this group. Partnering with Google Small Business Advisors, we provided free consultations to 95 former athletes who have launched their own small businesses. Additionally, we facilitated the integration of Google for Education tools into youth development programs, enabling these athletes to give back to their communities. We even created 10 job shadowing opportunities!
Ultimately, this partnership with Ascending Athletes was about more than just finding new jobs. It was about empowering these individuals to build fulfilling lives after football and continue to make a positive impact. We're proud to play a role in supporting their journey and fostering a more inclusive and dynamic workforce.
