The Pathways Foundation and Athletes Unlimited have launched the AI Career Accelerator for professional athletes. The Fall 2026 cohort brings together 13 Athletes Unlimited pros from basketball, volleyball, lacrosse and softball for a seven-week program built to fit around their athletic commitments.

The Accelerator gives pros hands-on exposure to how companies operate. Over seven weeks they earn a Google AI credential, solve a real business challenge with Arena, and learn from former pros, founders and executives.

How it works:

  • Weeks 1 to 3: Build fundamentals, with skills and certification
  • Week 4: Arena's co-founders reveal the capstone brief
  • Weeks 5 and 6: Feedback meetings and mentor check-ins as teams develop their solutions
  • Week 7: Final presentations, followed by a career readiness and recruiting workshop

Arena is a curated talent network that helps professionals and athletes find opportunity in sports, media and entertainment. Its co-founders, Parul Khosla and Adriene Bueno, sponsor the capstone at the center of the program. Guest sessions are led by Steve Davis, Rushia Brown, Brianna Salvatore Dueck and NBA veteran Eddie Gill.
