Learning in Light, Learning with Dignity

Across Sub-Saharan Africa, many children attend school in overcrowded, poorly lit, and crumbling classrooms. These conditions not only make it difficult to learn but also discourage families from keeping their children in school. A safe, bright, and welcoming classroom environment can make all the difference in shaping a child’s future.

The Bright Classrooms Project aims to transform learning spaces by building and renovating classrooms that are safe, well-lit, and equipped with the essentials children need to thrive.

Program Goals

  • Build New Classrooms – Provide safe, durable learning spaces in rural and urban areas.
  • Renovate Existing Facilities – Upgrade lighting, roofing, and sanitation to improve current classrooms.
  • Equip with Essentials – Supply desks, chairs, blackboards, and learning materials.
  • Empower Teachers – Support educators with training and resources to maximize the impact of improved spaces.
