Empowering Young Girls Through Education and Opportunity

In Ethiopia, many girls face barriers to education due to poverty, cultural traditions, and limited access to resources. Too often, they are forced to drop out of school, missing out on opportunities that could shape their future.

Bright Futures for Girls is a Humo initiative dedicated to breaking these barriers. Through this program, we provide school supplies, mentorship, scholarships, and safe learning environments for girls in rural Ethiopia. We also work with families and communities to raise awareness about the importance of girls’ education.

Program Goals

  • Access to Education – Provide 1,000 girls with school supplies, uniforms, and tuition support.
  • Mentorship & Support – Pair students with mentors who can guide them through challenges and encourage their ambitions.
  • Safe Learning Spaces – Create classrooms and after-school programs where girls can learn and grow without fear.
  • Community Awareness – Host workshops for parents and leaders to build long-term support for girls’ education.
